Over a fifteen years of Precision
Craftsmanship
Foreman Bikes emerged from a dual passion for the versatile beauty of wood and the thrill of cycling. With over a decade of experience as a qualified Engineering Patternmaker, my journey began in the precision realm of creating timber 'masters' for molten metal products. These skills and techniques, honed over years, now seamlessly translate into crafting timber bicycles with exacting tolerances, all by hand. The result? Bikes that not only meet precise ride characteristics but also boast the aesthetic allure of one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
The genesis of Foreman Bikes happened during a 7-month hiatus due to a shoulder reconstruction, culminating in the creation of a fixed gear city slayer. Armed with Patternmaking expertise, and a couple of photos, I was able to reverse engineer my first bike. This marking the inception of a journey into crafting timber bikes. The success of the first frame spurred the creation of a more refined road bike with internal cable routing, showcasing a perfect blend of beauty, stiffness, and strength.
My move to Finland brought new challenges and opportunities, with the gravel-laden roads of Helsinki inspiring the birth of a versatile gravel bike. A 9000km riding year through sun, rain, and snow proved the bike's mettle as it conquered every terrain with ease. This frame now has over 20,000 km on the pedals and has endured some of the toughest gravel races Europe has to offer.
Riding a Foreman Bike offers an experience like no other, with the natural dampening properties of timber enhancing every journey. Each frame is meticulously crafted to cater to your specific needs, ensuring a smile-inducing ride every time.
Choosing a handmade custom bike is a personal journey, and at Foreman Bikes, you connect directly with the builder—from the first contact to discussing your bike's features and, hopefully, sharing a ride to understand each other better. When you ride a Foreman Bike, you're not just riding a bicycle; you're embracing a bespoke masterpiece born from a genuine passion for wood and cycling.
Wood or Timber?
