2023 was full of big events, but very few km’s in between. We will make this years events a bit easier by joining more group rides and enjoying the company of the Helsinki cycling community and friends.
Along with participating in the major events, it is very important for us to help build the gravel community in Helsinki. On this page you will find all the scheduled group rides and events we will be attending. You can also follow us on Instagram to stay up to date with the spontaneous social rides for everyone to attend.
Nordic Gravel Series - Falling Leaves Lahti
Falling Leaves Lahti has become the traditional closing event of the Finnish (gravel) cycling season. Part of the NGS calendar for the 4ths consecutive season in 2023 we welcome you to a set of completely new routes for all distances!
Experience the beauty of the turning of the leaves while riding pristine gravel in the Lahti and Salpausselkä Geopark region. The area offers scenic gravel roads surrounded by fields and forests, a good amount of forest roads and more challenging trails. Distances of 50, 110 and 160km offer options for enthusiasts and trained riders alike. The 160km route will feature 3 timed segments. This event welcomes riders from all levels and fitness and is not a race. Also available XL route. Starting on Friday with 280km, overnight stay in Porvoo and finish on Saturday with all other finishers.
Warmup ride on Friday, post-ride buffet, lake sauna and the NGS season closing party are all part of the package.
Nordic Gravel Series - Bergslagen
This event is part of the Gravel Earth Series 2023
The Bergslagen area, located in central Sweden, is the cradle of the Swedish early industrial wonder with its countless mines and iron ores. Historical villages, connected by excellent gravel roads, are spread out amid the vast forests, lively streams and humble hills.
We invite you to explore the natural beauty and harsh hills in the Kilsbergen mountain range, the picturesque surroundings of Nora as well as the culinary gifts of Grythyttan and beyond. The venue for this years event is Åkerby Herrgård 8km from the beautiful old town of Nora and next to the Fåsjön lake.
Routes of 60, 126 and 194km + a 126 and 194km timed race option. The event is limited to 600 participants. We welcome riders from all fitness levels for a social weekend of gravelgrinding.
Nordic Gravel Series - Jyväskylä
Held on the same roads as WRC just one week before the cars tear through and rip up the roads!
There are many reasons to make this your main event of the year. Home of one of the best gravel road networks in Finland, UNESCO world heritage site, Alvar Alto architecture everywhere and not to mention It’s the sauna region of the world!
50km, 110km and 172km routes. 172km route is timed for the Nordic and Finnish Gravel Championships.
There is lots to do over the weekend, so bring the family and enjoy the Finnish summer. Don’t miss this one!
FNLND GRVL
Riding on the rollercoaster ski hills around Lahti on pristine gravel. There is no major climbs, but it is death by a thousand punchy hills.
Located only one hour from Helsinki, it is easy to get to even if your based in Helsinki. Join me on the 177km route! (you will also find me at the Nordic Gravel Series booth)
Nordic Gravel Series | Gravel Primavera
Kick off the Finnish gravel season in style at the Nordic Gravel Series | Gravel Primavera!
Embark on meticulously designed routes (50km, 80km, 110km) in the picturesque Nuuksio - Kirkkonummi area, marking the grand opening of the season.
Your entry grants you access to a post-ride buffet that's a celebration in itself. Refuel at our food and drink stop, equipped with sports nutrition. After the ride, luxuriate in our premium facilities – showers, a swimming pool, and a sauna await!
Extend your experience with optional accommodation and breakfast at Backby Kartano. Need gear? There are rental bikes and GPS devices available.

Fiskars Village Bike Expo
Fiskars Village BikeExpo is Finland’s largest bike specific Exhibition. Among the biggest and most interesting brands in the industry, there are also social rides, test-bike arena, food, music and good vibes.
We will have a booth with our latest offerings for you to check out. See you there!
Dirty Sipoo
Situated on the doorstep of Helsinki, these are some of the most common gravel roads ridden by us living in Helsinki. This year the event will be a timed race with route distances of 50km, 90km and 140km.
Nordic Gravel Series - Kimito Island
The Finnish archipelago is a gravel paradise, and this event is one that takes full advantage of it. With virtually all of the route on the most perfect gravel you have ridden on mixed in with some technical sections and limited tarmac transitions. There is a distance for everyone from 40km, 85km and 150km.
Be sure to book some accommodation and make a weekend out of the event. There is a warmup ride with a traditional smoke sauna on Friday, The event on Saturday with post ride food and entertainment, then enjoy the laid back archipelago life on Sunday!
